AM Works is a custom furniture design and fabrication studio based out of Los Angeles, CA. Balancing form and function with a keen sense of making works that will last several generations, each piece is a unique collaboration between customer and creator.
CREATIVE PRINCIPLES
THEORY
Every piece is defined by the problems it is seeking to solve. Even in the process of design and execution, the organic reality of wood constantly forces new problems to be considered and resolved.
PRACTICE
Whether made from sourced materials or from abandoned wood and metal found while scouring the streets of Los Angeles, using the unique elements of the materials we find, the pieces balance raw and refined. The work is finished to a soft, buttery touch. Every piece follows the natural texture of the material and accentuates the flow of the grains and figuring.
